i have acne crap so i got proactive and it made my face all dry will it eventually go away?? its about 5 days old and it is dry. I dont want to throw away all this stuff since its so expencive………………………………………………………………

i put the lotion on. i have tried different lotions but my face is still dry below my lips and above them ??
anyone else

We called proactive about our situation with dry skin.
They say to take little amounts of what you use because taking too much can have the opposite affect.
Using the Refining Mask, take the tip of your pinky and dap it on your problem areas.
Don’t use more than the tip of your pinky. [Unless you are doing the mask, but I would suggest just doing the spot treatments to get rid of them and not use it all up].
As for the others, make sure you wash your face and hands really well before and make sure to follow them in the correct steps for the best care.
You might want to find some dry skin lotion at your local drug store and make sure it won’t clog your pores.

What type of acne do you have? What product helped you get rid of it the fastest? Please i don’t want any of your home remedies so don’t waste your time typing about lemon juice and all that crap.

I used to have acne and tried SO many different scrubs from CVS, etc but nothing totally cleared up my skin. For some reason, i avoided the dermatologist for a really long time but after i finally went it was totally worth it. The first medicine didn’t really work but the second one worked REALLY well. now my face is almost totally flawless and i don’t even have to wear makeup! and the dermatologist cost was covered by my insurance. So try going to the dermatologist, they know what’s best, and it might be covered by your insurance policy!

I have mild acne but my current face wash, which I’ve been using up until now with good results, is no longer working. What is the best daily face wash/treatment?

for me, those face wash things never worked but i found something really simple that worked for me, and i love it cuz its completely cheap and easy and quick. i totttttally swear by it! here’s what you do:

1. fill up your sink with steaming hot water
2. put your face over the bowl of the sink and put a towel over your head, allowing you to steam your face without the steam escaping. this opens your clogged pores.
3. stay like this for 3-5 minutes, then drain the sink and wash your face with your regular cleanser and warm water.
4. finish with a splash of cold water to close your pores
5. finally, apply any spot treatment you might have such as clearisil to any blemishes

i know it looks like a lot, but its cheap and it honestly works. plus you don’t have to buy anything so there’s nothing to lose by trying it. it usually takes about a day after doing this for your zits to start going away. i usually do this about once a week but if your acne is bad you may want to do it more often. good luck

I clean my face regularly with Clean & Clear foaming cleanser. Is there anything besides bacteria that can cause it?

I’m 16 and I read hormones might cause acne??

It seems like every time I get rid of a pimple I get a new one -_-.

Your DIET shows up on your face. Try quitting white sugar, corn syrup, dairy and processed foods, go with green, mostly organic foods, and be amazed at what changes might take place!

ACNE scars?!?

I have a some small scars on my cheeks due to acne and I hate it because they wouldn’t go away.

Are their any good treatments out there??

When I had acne scars, I preferred the natural first. It helped some, but after a while I gave up on them. BUT, this does not mean they wouldn’t work for you. Try something like Vitamin E oil. If that doesn’t work after a while, you might consider using something like Mederma or Bio Oil.

If in the end you really just want to get rid of them and nothing is working, I would suggest getting microdermabrasion.
